Message from the Chair of LALG

Message updated: 19:00 Monday 23 March 2020

The situation regarding coronavirus is still changing and LALG is following the advice provided by Government at www.gov.uk/coronavirus

No groups are meeting in person for the foreseeable future but some are meeting online or holding discussions by email.

We are keen to ensure that no LALG member should struggle if they can’t get out for provisions. If you contact me at chair@lalg.org.uk or 01462 735642 we will get some help to you. Alternatively there is a network of mutual aid groups being set up and you can find details here: covidmutualaid.org/. My thanks to all those who have volunteered to help others.

The committee will meet on Wednesday by video conference and we will be exploring what else we can do for members. We expect to give you another update later in the week.

School children have been posting rainbows in their windows to spread hope and joy.  You can find the story at www.bbc.co.uk/newsround/51953553 and here is my rainbow to you.

If you need further advice please contact me at chair@lalg.org.uk or if there are financial matters you wish to discuss, please contact Alan at treasurer@lalg.org.uk

Keep safe and well,    Elaine

Try Something New

This is Hertfordshire’s Year of Culture which aims to showcase the creative and cultural opportunities of the county.  LALG has signed up to support  the objective to celebrate, share and explore arts, culture and heritage, increasing people’s wellbeing and sense of belonging. Each month will have a different theme; in January it is to ‘try something new’.

LALG provides lots of ideas for trying something you have never done before!
