We will have a stall at Letchworth Festival on Saturday 20 June in the Town Centre, just inside the entrance to the Wynd. Transport and Industrial Heritage will welcome Debbie Land from the Shuttleworth Collection on Tuesday 23 June, 7.30pm for a talk on Pioneering Women in Motoring: stories of the first women to drive, those who raced, those who worked as engineers and those who manufactured motor cars. Visit the Victorian lavender museum, walk between the lavender rows, collect some to take home, and see behind the scenes where the crop is distilled. Book now: Annual Golf Event Tuesday 15 September, Chesfield Downs Golf and Country Club. Six tee times have been booked, starting at 11.04am. On Thursday 2 July, 11am at the Broadway Cinema, The Arts Society North Hertfordshire presents The Textiles of Bhutan by Zara Fleming. This tiny Himalayan kingdom is known for its intricate brocades and unique weaving tradition, unmatched in the world.
