Description

Price

A fruity, aromatic Spanish white made entirely from the Muscat grape. The wine is fermented and then the alcohol carefully removed, resulting in an off-dry, whistle-clean style.

£5-95

Bright, fresh, taut Chilean muscat from old bush vines, about 60 years old, in the cool Itata region. This offers an intriguing and delicious contrast between muscat's intense grapy scent and a refreshing, crisp palate.

£8.22

This Austrian grape is gaining ground in cooler sites on the other side of the world in New Zealand. Hailing from the coastal Nelson region on the northern tip of the South Island, this offers a bright peach and lemon-scented aromatic style, with a dry, refreshing palate and a citrus-led finish.

£9.95

A quirky yet exquisite pure dry French white made from pinot noir grapes vinified like a white wine, presenting delicate red and white currant fruit and lovely freshness, the wine maker, a young Jérémie Mourat loves to experiment and has all the winemaking tools at his stylish ‘destination’ winery.

£11.50

Domaine du Cros is the key estate in Marcillac, leading this region of the French south-west's current revival. This is light, crunchy and thirst-quenching with delightful ruby colour and flavours of raspberry and plum. Charcuterie wine par excellence.

£9.95

A beautifully crafted blend of mostly cabernet and merlot with a dash of syrah, grenache and mourvèdre. All of the vineyards are to be found at high altitudes (ensuring freshness), on the maritime side of Mount Lebanon and in the Bekaa Valley. Each has been chosen for their different soil compositions which add complexity to the wine. The name Sendiäna means 'oak', a tree the Lebanese have a great fondness for, which grows in abundance around the vineyards, and plays an important role in this wine's production. It spends a year in mostly French oak prior to bottling, which adds a cedar peppery tone to the rich dark-fruit flavours of the fruit. A gorgeous wine to decant and savour with wintry stews and hearty comfort food.
