Our ride yesterday morning was to Shuttleworth Aerodrome and the café there for our lunch stop. The ride was well attended with eleven riders setting off from Wetherspoons and one non-rider Paul who joined us for a pre-ride chat and cuppa. The eleven were Anne, Angie, Jackie, Sandra, David W, David R, Geoff H, Mick, Karlo, myself and Geoff P in the lead. We set off in two groups due to our numbers and the outward journey took us through Arlesey, Henlow, Clifton, Stanford, Ireland and Old Warden. On arrival at our lunch stop, we were met by John. An enjoyable lunch was had sitting outside with a glimpse of the sun with plenty of socialising going on. After lunch, Angie decided to head off on her own to Hitchin and the rest of us headed back to Letchworth via Jordans Mill, Langford, Henlow and Arlesey, with riders leaving the group where it was convenient for them to return home. The weather was a little overcast most of the time but remained dry with a brisk breeze. My mileage was 37 at an average of a little over 12.
