Yesterday we did one of our regular rides to Rabley Heath. Angie met us for tea/coffee at Wetherspoons before we set off and nine riders joined the ride at the start with David W joining us at the top of Willian Way. The nine were the two Geoff's, David R, Peter, Karlo, Anne, Colin, Mick and myself. Geoff P took his normal place in the lead. We cycled through Willian, Great Wymondley, Little Almshoe and Shilly Green. When we reached Three Houses lane David R and Anne left the group to do their own circuit. The rest of us continued to Nap End and Rabley Heath for our lunch stop at the Robin Hood and Little John. We were met there by Bedford Paul. A nice lunch was had as normal at this venue. There was plenty of lively socialising going on during lunch which was very enjoyable. Our return was the reverse of the outward journey. Paul set off on his own and the rest of us cycled in a group with Colin leaving us heading towards Preston at Hitchwood lane. Karlo left us at the roundabout before Great Wymondley heading home. The weather was fine and sunny for most of the ride but a little overcast and chilly when we set off after lunch. My mileage was 25 at an average of 11.
