We had a very successful first meeting on the 13th June 2024 with 14 people in attendance. We learnt and sang 5 songs together: South Australia, Roll the Old Chariot Along, Bulley in the Alley, Marching Inland and Wellerman. We will expand our repertoire in coming meetings and gradually work on the songs to enhance and add our own nuances based on singing abilities within the group.
Since we started in June 2024, the group has grown significantly and we have learnt many new songs.
The group has been meeting for over a year. Our Songbook has grown to over 30 Sea Shanties. We regularly have over 25 people attend. We are now confidently performing gigs to communities in the local area.
