Five of us set off from Broadway Gardens, myself, Mia, John H, John D and Geoff P took the lead for Shuttleworth Aerodrome. We were met at Arlesey by Nige and Paul F. We decided to split into two groups with myself, Paul, John H and Geoff taking the more direct route via Ireland and Old Walden while Mia, Nige and John D leading, put in a few extra miles via Cardington and Cople. We were met at Shuttleworth by Richard who had made his way via Ashwell.
A relaxing lunch was had in the café there and the weather was kind to us, so we could sit outside.
Afterwards, we came back in the same two groups with Richard joining John D's group and taking the longer route, while our group took the direct route via Stanford, Clifton and Henlow.
