After a night of extremely heavy rain, our usual route to Spokes was modified a little to avoid a couple of potential flooded areas With myself Adrian, Geoff P, Kris, John D, Richard, Stuart and Geoff H starting from LGC and being joined by John H and Nige at Wymondley, nine of us arrived at Spokes, where we were joined by Paul W. Despite a bit of an autumnal chill when the sun went in, it was as usual very pleasant spending lunch overlooking the animal enclosures. Time whizzes past and soon we set off once more, one down as Kris had left earlier, needing to be back by one. Stuart was unlucky to suffer a puncture on the way back. Five of us finished the ride back to Letchworth and were invited Anne's to partake of tea and cake, after a good deal more chin wagging, with time getting on and rain threatening, we all went our separate ways.
LGC-Spokes and return was approx.30 miles at about 12 mph
