Rode to the start today, as it was mild and dry, if a bit breezy. Seven met at the fountain, and we witnessed a 3-car shunt while we were there! Caused by a taxi...
Anyway, Derek, Kris and John D set off in the direction of Ashwell to get some extra miles/speed in, and I took Mia, Angie and Stuart on a meandering route to arrive at Jordan's just before 12; Geoff joined us as we were locking up, having ridden from Meppershall. The others weren't far behind either, and we were all able to sit around the same table, which was good, though I neglected to get a photo!
After lunch, Angie made her own way, whilst I rode back with Stuart and Geoff, the others again putting some extra miles in. The wind was a considerable hindrance on the return; I'm glad I wasn't going any further. Adrian - Ride leader.
