Thursday 18th August
Our monthly Garden City Wheelers ride saw nine meet at the fountain, including new rider Derek. We were able to form two groups as Geoff P was able to lead a small group on a more direct route, with John H and Stuart joining him, with myself leading John D, Jack, Andy, Alan and Derek. It being otherwise such a short ride we added a bit of a loop, arriving at our destination a good few minutes after the others, and also finding Mick and Pete already there, having ridden out independently. Bedford Paul also arrived a little later, making twelve. A new venue for us, they coped very well, despite there being a bit of confusion over who had ordered what!
After a pleasant hour in the sunshine, the group mostly went their separate ways, with Geoff leading the remnants of both groups back to LGC. Adrian Winterbone.
