Some favourite rides of the Garden City Wheelers

Jordans Mill This is a flat ride through Arlesey, Henlow and Langford and back; about 20 miles. Lunch is particularly enjoyable outside during the summer months looking out over the river Ivel. But equally comfortable in the restaurant during the winter months.

Southill Another flat ride of 22 miles in a similar direction through the Bedfordshire countryside. A nice non-rushed lunch at The White Horse - in the garden in the summer - is lovely. It is also quite cosy inside, during the winter months.

Great Offley This ride is a little more demanding as it is quite hilly through Preston and Ley Green but well worth the effort. It is 26 miles for the return journey and there are several venues for our refreshment stop. We usually go to The Red Lion for their excellent lunches.

Codicote The return trip is about 28 miles through some lovely Hertfordshire countryside. There are a couple of demanding hills but overall it is generally flat. We have lunch in a dedicated cycling venue called SpokeCycles also known as Spokes. It's lovely in the summer months sitting outside and overlooking the farm and in the winter months indoors sitting around a blazing stove, enjoying one of their famous toasties.

We are primarily a social cycling group. During the ride, we will not leave anyone behind. Where possible we try to include a slightly longer ride for those with a little more experience and stamina.
