Free Democratic Access Tours Friday 6th March at 16.50 and 17.00
Alistair Strathern is MP for Hitchin, a constituency that also takes in part of Central Bedfordshire. He has kindly organised a trip to the Houses of Parliament for 20 people (2 groups of 10) on the afternoon of Friday 6th March. Free guided Democratic Access Tours of Parliament are available to UK residents, through their local MP or a peer, offering a 75-minute, in-depth look at the House of Commons, House of Lords, Central Lobby, and Westminster Hall.
We will travel by 15.20 train from Letchworth to Blackfriars where we will change to the Underground, District or Circle lines, for a short journey to Westminster tube station. We should arrive by 16.30 which will give us time to clear security before our tours start.
After the tour we will agree a time and place to meet to retrace our steps, or you can stay in London and return independently.
Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Please email the Group Contacts on London_Places@lalg.org.uk
This trip is now full.
We also hope to run another trip by the kind invitation of Chris Hinchliff, MP for North East Hertfordshire but the date for that visit has not yet been agreed.
First come first served, by email to Group contacts
