9 mile Circular Walk

This 9-mile circular walk from Wheathampstead heads east along the Ayot Greenway and then turns north to Ayot St Lawrence. Shaw’s Corner will be open that day and has a kiosk serving snacks, so we may choose to have a break there. We then head west and south back to Wheathampstead, passing the ruined church of St Lawrence. Hopefully, the bluebells will still be out as they create a stunning display in private woodland. We try to co-ordinate lifts if needed from Sollershott Green, in front of the Garden Lodge Hotel, Sollershot East SG6 3JW, leaving at 9.30am. Please bring your own food and drink, although there may be opportunities for refreshments en route or back in Wheathampstead. Please book in via the group email or with Kate on 01462 621248.
