Old Bailey  now fully booked

Monday 12 May, meet from 3.30pm at Letchworth station to catch the 15.50 train (Baldock 15.47, Hitchin 15.55, Stevenage 16.01)

Cost £15 per person

Booking will open at 9am on 31 March by email to the group contacts.

We will have a late afternoon visit to the Old Bailey otherwise known as the Central Criminal Court.   I have booked a private behind the scenes tour. As the Old Bailey is a working court the tour will start after court sittings have finished for the day – at 17.30. As there are long days in May we will be able to complete the visit in daylight.   The tour will be about 90 minutes and there is a maximum of 25 people.

We will take the 15.50 train from Letchworth to City Thameslink, allowing time for train cancellations and/or a refreshment stop. We will travel at the rear of the train.  The Old Bailey is about 5 minutes’ walk.  Our tour is at 17.30 and we are asked to assemble at 17.15, we can make use of their toilet facilities.

After the tour and at an agreed time we will retrace our journey back to Letchworth. Or you can make your own arrangements and stay in London for the evening.  If you want to go independently into London earlier in the day, please let me know and we will meet at the Old Bailey at 17.15.
