Taiko Drumming is fortnightly on a Tuesday evening - next on 4 and 18 August - at St Thomas Church, Wilbury Hall, Bedford Road. Have fun taking part in a small, tutor-led group. Drums provided. Taiko drumming is a physical activity and you will be responsible for working within your own limits. £12 per 2-hour session payable in advance to cover room hire, tuition and equipment. The 2026 Annual Golf event is at Chesfield Downs on Tuesday 15 September, 11.04 onwards tee times. Cost is £55 (£15 if you are a member of Chesfield) to include - breakfast roll/ drink pre-golf, 18 holes, drink post golf and a small contribution towards the prizes. Booking now: the Trips Group has a guided walking tour of Welwyn Garden City and private visit to the Roman Baths on Wednesday 5 August. We will travel by car and meet for coffee at 10am. Our 90-minute guided tour of the town, at 11am will be led by Angela Eserin, who was the Local Studies Librarian and is very knowledgeable about the town.
