We are a non-religious group that is interested in churches and other places of worship – their architecture, monuments, art and history – and the people who have been associated with them over the years. 

We arrange guided tours of interesting buildings during spring, summer and autumn; email Ann if you have any suggestions for places to visit, plus contact information if you have it. We have kept a list of places we have already visited and can revisit if there is sufficient interest.

Everyone is welcome at all our events; we don't worship together but there is always time during our visits for those who would like some quiet reflection.

We had a lovely time yesterday at the candlelit St Mary Magdalene, Caldecote. We sang carols, with harmonium accompaniment, while nibbling mince pies and quaffing mulled wine.

The church was beautifully decorated by LALG's very own Flower Arranging Group. The photos show one of the window sills and the show-stopping arrangement on the font.
