Ulysses Reading Group

This group commenced September 2024 when we began to read Ulysses. Group members read a section of James Joyce's famous novel and then we meet once a month to discuss - in a relaxed informal way - what they have read. They aim to read the novel over 7-8 sessions finishing by next May. The Group also discusses and arranges additional social activities in keeping with James Joyce and his work. We are planning a 3-night trip to Dublin in April with a James Joyce theme, visiting exhibitions, theatres, National Gallery, Joyce Centre and a traditional Irish pub etc. Our meeting in January is to arrange a programme for the visit. We plan to open the trip to family members/partners of the Ulysses Reading Group members; other members of LALG would also be most welcome.
