Poetry in the Afternoon

Third Thursday of the month, 2pm

We are not poets, not writers, just poetry lovers. Each month we search out poems on an agreed theme. At our meetings we read our selected poems aloud and share our thoughts about why we like them. Our chosen poems range from the sixteenth to the twentieth century and beyond. If you enjoy reading poetry, come and join us.

Our theme for December is 'Favourite Christmas Poems'. We have previously met at each other's homes, but we are now enjoying our meetings at the Broadway Gallery in Leys Avenue, Letchworth, a lovely central location which we hope will make it easier for new members to find us.

We have changed our meeting time to 2pm to take account of the change of clocks to Greenwich Mean Time.
