The Yorkshire Wolds walk has been postponed until next year, full details from Kate Thompson on katethompson1834@gmail.com nearer the time.
Yorkshire Wolds
This year’s trail week will tackle the Yorkshire Wolds Way, which runs from Hessle, on the north side of the Humber Bridge, to the end of the Cleveland Way at Filey. One of the highlights of the walk is the deserted medieval village of Wharram Percy. It is 79 miles, so six walking days at an average of 13.5 miles a day. East Yorkshire is one of the least populated parts of England and accommodation is scarce, which means that we will have to stay two nights at some places and be taken by minibus or taxi each day.
The dates are 9-16 July 2020 (3 days later than originally stated in the Newsletter) and the cost for shared accommodation is £732, for single use £872. If you wish to join us please contact Kate as soon as possible as it will not be possible to add additional guests for much longer. A 20% deposit is required when booking.
