Covent Garden Walk
Details of this Event
A stroll around Covent Garden, stopping at interesting places, some associated with well-known people, some relating to theatre, some to dance. A half hour visit, including a 15 minute talk, has been arranged to the very interesting, indeed fascinating, Corpus Christie Church.
Being a Saturday, purchase an off-peak return ticket, using a Railcard should you have one. Catch the 9.47 from Baldock, 9.50 from Letchworth, 9.55 from Hitchin, 10.01 from Stevenage, arriving Finsbury Park 10.21 and St Pancras 10.29. Meet opposite the exit to Covent Garden Underground Station, which is on the Piccadilly Line (John will have a blue shoulder bag). There will be a lunch break. The walk will finish at about 4 o’clock. John’s mobile on the day 07710 400097.
John, the walks leader, has waived the £5 payment to cover the costs of exploring the walk; instead, your payment (collected on the day) will be donated to the church. The walk has a limit of 20 persons, so places must be booked with John by email, LVJune@lalg.org.uk or by phone 01438 241043.
