One Man, Two Guvnors – a comedy by Richard Bean

Rutland Open Air Theatre, Tolethorpe Hall, Stamford PE9 4BH. 

The play was first produced at the National Theatre, London, with the main character played by the then rising star James Corden. It was a huge hit and later both play and star transferred to Broadway, New York. The play, set in Brighton in 1963, involves ‘an out-of-work skiffle player’ and ‘fish and chips’. 

Relax and enjoy a picnic and view Tolethorpe Hall before enjoying a performance under this covered theatre with its delightful outdoor stage setting. There is a bar and an area for buying coffee, tea and snacks. Cost £37 (£39 non-LALG) – includes coach fare and an excellent seat in the centre block. The coach leaves Letchworth station bus stop, adjacent to the car park, at 11.30am.
