Meeting via Zoom.
The themes for our September 5th meeting will be ‘The Craft Of (Female) Screen Acting' and 'Film Adaptations of Literary Works' based on a viewing of Virginia Woolf's novel to film 'Mrs Dalloway' available on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=blLjS8aGk_I. The film stars Vanessa Redgrave and Natasha McElhone as older and younger versions of the titular character.
Our October 3rd meeting will continue the Acting/Literary Adaptation themes and discuss 'The Hours' starring Meryl Streep, Julianne Moore and Nicole Kidman, with an emphasis on the filmography of Nicole Kidman who won an Oscar for her portrayal of Virginia Woolf in the film.
In November (7th) we'll be continuing our discussion of the craft of screen acting with particular reference to the film careers of Julianne Moore and Meryl Streep.
