Philippa Parker and Janet Capstick from the Letchworth Local History Research Group will talk about ‘Industrial Letchworth from 1903 to 1920’. They will give an overview of the origins and development of Letchworth, focusing on the many people who turned Ebenezer Howard’s concept into reality, and will discuss the varied businesses and enterprises that were enthused to come to the town in its first two decades and what it was that attracted them.
