Group Name

Clock Group

Meetings begin again on Wednesday evening 8th September in the Mrs Howard Hall, Letchworth Garden City.

Members service and repair clocks under the tutor Richard Edwards.

There is sufficient space for ten people in one session. However there has been a record number of inquiries from beginners this year which suggests the need for a separate group for those who need basic tuition and another for those who need advanced tuition.  Also if Covid-19 remains an issue smaller groups may be preferable.

Previously, sessions began with a short presentation on theory followed by practical work on members’ own mechanical clocks. Beginners and more experienced horologists are welcome: no experience is necessary and only a few basic tools will get you started.

The meetings will be weekly until 15th Dec. including a meeting during half term unlike previously but we will not be meeting on 24th Nov. which means the term will consist of fourteen nights as usual.

If you wish to join the group please respond promptly with a helpful reminder as to whether you are a beginner or experienced and also let me know if there is another night on which you might be available.
