Saturday 16th November

Ten people met at Tapps garden centre for this 4 mile walk and headed to Warren lane via the airfield. Model planes are regularly flown here at the weekend.

We were lucky with the weather which was milder than predicted but still a little nippy and many of us enjoyed a drink in Tapps cafe after the walk

Eight of us enjoyed an autumnal walk to Radwell, with plenty of stops on the way to enjoy the beautiful colours and views. We walked via Ivel Springs to Radwell village, where Eileen collected two large cooking apples that were being offered outside a door. There were good photo opportunites at the lake and we were fortunate with some sun on the walk.

We had a short stop on the benches at Radwell near the car park for a drink and break.

We had perfect weather for our 6 mile walk to Willian. There were eight of us on the walk which was mostly on The Greenway. We enjoyed views of the church as we came into Willian. We had a break for drinks and cake at the Pioneer nursery coffee shop where we sat in the garden which was very relaxing.

Returning to Baldock we came across some trees with very small pretty red and yellow plums which some of us sampled.

Seven of us walked 7 miles to Fairfield via Ivel Springs and The Greenway.

We enjoyed cake and a drink at Thornes garden centre. It was a very sociable walk with lots of chatting and laughs along the way.

No sun screen needed today ! Three of us set off from Baldock in drizzly grey weather. It was quite chilly and the over trousers and rain jackets were needed most of the walk. We walked via Clothall Wallington Redhill Roe Green anbd Sandon. The only bit of shelter on the whole walk is a bus shelter at Sandon where we had our lunch. It was very heavy rain so we were pleased to be under shelter. Through Kelshall water was pouring down the road and ducks were swimming at the side of the road which we found amusing.
