Social

'Action for Happiness' is a movement for positive social change, bringing together people interested in activities scientifically evidenced to improve our sense of well-being, e.g. mindfulness, identifying personal strengths, gratitude diaries, being near nature, etc.

The group meets monthly. There is a small charge to cover room rental and sundries. Teas and coffees can be purchased at the venue.

We are currently full but to register your interest, please email Maxine.

We are a social group who meet up for coffee before each film in David's Coffee Shop, Eastcheap, at 10.15am.

We meet once a month to plan trips over a cuppa, and have one "group" outing a month.

Our members also contact one another for ad-hoc trips.

For further information please phone Annie.

Our Singles Drop-In for single men and women meets weekly on Fridays from 8.00pm at the Cultivo Lounge, Leys Avenue.

The relaxing evening is an informal way to make new friends and maybe to suggest an event that you have wanted to attend, so it can be added to our calendar of varied social events and other members can attend too.

We meet fortnightly.

Sorry, no new members can be accepted at present, but there is now a second group running - look for Meet for Coffee 2 in Social Groups.

We meet regularly for tea/coffee and a chat at the Wyevale Garden Centre, Hitchin.

After our successful belated Christmas lunch our April dates are shown in the Group Events box on the right.

We are sorry that we cannot take any new members at present.

We meet monthly so you can catch up with fellow members and visitors over a drink, then listen to one or two speakers.  Meetings can be in the morning or evening - see the details for each meeting in the events panel on the right.

Morning meetings

We are a small group who normally meet once a month in the evening to discuss current events in an informal atmosphere and would welcome new members.

We meet from 7.30pm to 9.00pm on the first Wednesday in each month at The Spirella Building in Bridge Road, where we are able to use their car park via the entry off Icknield Way.
