Autumn term

We service and repair clocks under our tutor Richard Edwards with the assistance of Bernard Bailey. Sessions begin with a short presentation on theory followed by practical work on members’ own mechanical clocks.

We are recruiting now for the autumn term which is from 10 September to  18 December, excluding 30 October.  The cost is £84 for 14 sessions. Beginners and more experienced horologists are welcome.

Flower Arranging

We meet every 2 weeks on  Monday afternoons at The Cloisters, 36 Barrington Road, Letchworth.

We are a very enthusiastic group who enjoy making pretty arrangements. Our skills vary considerably from complete novices to almost professional.

Sewing group

We have nine members, a very diverse set of talented ladies.

We meet from 2.00 - 4.00pm on the first and third Thursdays of the month.

The group covers most forms of needlework. There is sometimes space for a new member so get in touch if you are interested.

Textile Enthusiasts and Weavers

This textiles community group meets once a month, usually on a Tuesday evening, to take part in a textile-related activity or craft. 

The meetings, which include all materials and equipment as well as refreshments, are £4 per person.

We meet at Digswell Arts in The Fenners Building, 7 Openshaw Way, just off the Wynd. Free parking is available on site.

New members always welcome.

Patchwork Group

Informal gatherings to patchwork together and swap tips. Plus of course a bit of chat!

Please note that we will be meeting at the Premier Inn in Station Road, on the first Thursday of each month between 11.00am and 1.00pm

Please bring your own materials with you.

There will be a small charge to cover room hire.

Freetea and coffee.

No need to book, just turn up.

We are recruiting now for the autumn term (11 Sept - 18 Dec excluding 30 Oct).

The cost is £84 for 14 sessions. Beginners and more experienced horologists are welcome.
