Meeting via Zoom

Repeats every month on the first Tuesday until Tue Dec 06 2022.
Tuesday, 2 August 2022 - 7:30pm to 9:30pm

We are a friendly and varied group. We write 2 or 3 pages in advance inspired by a specific topic or genre. We then share our work (optional) before the meeting, and discuss it on the night. We also write together using writing exercises as a stimulus.

Whether you're a novice scribbler or a published author, you're welcome to join the Letchworth Writers’ Group. We meet on the 1st Tuesday of each month, by Zoom from 7:30 – 9:30pm

The cost is £10/year subs for LALG members, £15 for non-members, to cover the cost of our annual anthology, competition prizes and occasional room hire. The first visit is free.

The monthly themes are there to spark your own writing if this is helpful to you, and listed on writing timetable.

The writers share their work via confidential files on Dropbox a week before our meeting. This allows us to read each piece and make constructive comments, which we discuss on the night. Sharing your writing is optional. We may also have a creative writing exercise and talk about ways to improve our craft. Other writing activities have included competitions and publication of an Anthology on Amazon.

We’re a friendly and varied group, and you are welcome to join us.

Please contact Diana who will arrange for you to come to the next meeting and if you like the group and wish to join, we'll include you in the Dropbox file-sharing for the next time.

Writers Group

We have cancelled our face-to-face meetings for the time being but are holding our group meetings online using Zoom.

First Tuesday of each month, 7.30-9.30pm via Zoom

We are a friendly and varied group. We write 2 or 3 pages in advance, which can be inspired by our monthly theme, or a continuation of your own work. We then share our work before the meeting and discuss it on the night. Newcomers are very welcome.

Zoom details will be emailed a few days before the meeting.

Diana would still welcome enquiries from new people - contacts details are to the right/below depending on your screen.
