Feeling and Knowing: Making Minds Conscious by Antonio Damasio

Many people have said its not possible to understand human consciousness. However, Damasio, a leading neuroscientist, believes that recent discoveries in disciplines including psychology, neuroscience and artificial intelligence now give us the ability to do this.

He explains what it is to be conscious and how it differs from sensing, and why feeling and the nervous system and are important in its development.
