Welcome to a B….t free zone – poetry at no. 7

We began the season as a group of nine and now there are eight of us; we are poorer for the loss of Patsy Hudson, who died on 31 May 2018.

This year we marked our fifth anniversary in July and look forward to many more years to come.

In September we learnt that Philip Larkin was to be commemorated in Poets’ Corner, Westminster Abbey.

As we enter our fifth season the poetry group sails on - with seven founder members still involved. Success lies in sticking to a simple formula:

Poetry for Pleasure

Whatever the format - the strength of the group is in the poetry and behind the poetry are the people who choose it.

With its unpredictable take on mundane themes the poetry for pleasure group has completed its first full year of meetings.
