Open Gardens - Virtual Tours

Letchworth Open Gardens is happening virtually this year - the website launches on Sunday 28 June with some lovely photos and videos of plants and gardens.  Do go and have a look.

Here is a message from the Open Gardeners:

We hope you will visit our online showcase of some of the gardens due to have welcomed visitors in person.

In a normal year, visitors have typically spent £10-15 each on tickets, refreshments and plants while visiting local gardens - all in support of Letchworth’s Garden House Hospice Care, the British Red Cross and other charities. As these charities have lost so much of their revenue during the pandemic, we hope that, if you have enjoyed your virtual visit, you will be generous and donate using the buttons provided on the Virtual Open Gardens website.  Over the last 18 years the gardeners have raised over £48,000 for these and other charities so please help to continue the tradition through these extraordinary times. All donations are welcome however big or small!

The website will stay live throughout the rest of this year so please spread the word by sharing our page with your friends and relations in the locality and across the world via emails and social media. Hopefully the reach of the internet will allow many more people to appreciate the character and ambience of gardening in Letchworth Garden City than usual.  So pour yourself a glass of something or make a brew, and sit back and enjoy – no PPE necessary.
