Safety settings of conferencing software

At LALG, we use Zoom software forums, and there has been much talk lately about the safety of this and other conferencing software.

We all need to carefully look at the defaut settings as they may not be the most sensible for safety.  Zoom has been changing the default settings (such as requring a password) recently to help.

Obvious examples are using the 'waiting room' facility for the meeting organiser to vet who is allowed to join the meeting.  Don't allow remote control unless you really do need it, and disabling remote camera control.

In Zoom you are encouraned to not use your 'Personal Meeting ID' which is linked to your Zoom ID and does not change, you should use a randomly generated meeting ID.
