**** A big thank you to Val for running an enjoyable November quiz. Here are the results and post-match analysis. ****
It's only when you look at the given answers that you realise that there could be alternatives to some questions, and Round 3 - Islands - proved that point! No-one got the somewhat cryptic 'In both French & English waters', mer + sea, and I had to accept that with the French laying claim to the waters around the Channel Islands I had to allow any of those islands as a valid answer. However i drew the line at accepting Jersey as a fisherman's jumper, it's definitely a Guernsey! The Scottish island of Lewis is shared with a tweed - Harris, so half a point for just Lewis - sorry!
I was generous with half marks for part answers in Round 2 for (West) Suffolk, Truth / Social, and any attempts at Antonio Guterres!
The prize for funniest answer goes to Poles Apart for their answer to Q4 in Round 1, as 'Laid' - brilliant! There were also several eggy answers to that one. (And their team was the only one to give both Lewis & Harris, more brownie points!)
Congratulation to joint winners All The Ws and The Dahlias, for an impressive 86.5%
