Our first speaker is Roger Harrison of the Wild Walkers Group, supported by William and Tom, who will give an illustrated talk on Scotland from Montrose to Oban. They recently trekked across Scotland through the wilderness carrying everything on their backs.
Our main speaker is Graham Pointon, whom many of you know as a fellow LALG member. He will tell us about The Origins of Language starting with the acquisition of the physical ability to speak.
We meet in the Kincaid Hall, Letchworth Settlement, Nevells Road SG6 4UB. Parking is available on site; free parking is also available by the outdoor swimming pool a few minutes’ walk away.
£3 LALG members, £5 non-members (membership available on the door). Tea/coffee is available before the talk, £1 per mug. Payment is by CASH ONLY.
