This session included singing a song while passing rhythm sticks, a circle game involving some complicated clapping (excellent for the brain!) waving scarves to Offenbach's Can Can and some chair drumming. We also danced to some music by Henry VIII. All this activity required concentration and coordination but there was some cake to reward our good efforts.

We had our first meeting on Feb 10th. The session included singing a sea shanty in a circle combined with a clapping game, we used different percussion instruments to accompany the song Lil' Liza Jane, expressed ourselves with coloured scarves to Shostakovich's Jazz Waltz and used drum sticks to join in with a traditional song from Zimbabwe. There was a lot of laughing and a cup of tea afterwards to recover.
