2 Talks: Dambusters Raid & Recorder Group

Details of this Event

Our main speaker is the aviation historian David Keen. He will tell us about The Dambusters Raid - the story of the most famous raid by Bomber Command in the Second World War - and how much (or little) of the film is true.

The first part of the meeting will be LALG’s Recorders For Fun Group who will describe what they do and entertain us with music.

We meet in the Kincaid Hall, Letchworth Settlement, Nevells Road SG6 4UB. Doors open 10am for 10.30am. Limited parking is available on site; free parking is available by the outdoor swimming pool and the Bowls Club, both a few minutes’ walk away in Icknield Way.

£4 members, £6 non-members (membership is available on the door). There is no need to buy a ticket in advance, just come along! Tea/coffee is available before the talk, £1 per mug.
