Zoom talk: The James Webb Space Telescope by John Thatcher

Registration is closed for this event

This year hopefully sees the launch of the James Webb Space Telescope (The ‘Webb’) which replaces Hubble. During this talk John will let us more about what ‘Webb’ will do, why it looks the way it does and what happens after launch. We are looking forward to viewing the photos and videos that will accompany this talk and bring the telescope to life for us before it is launched into space.

Presenter
John has worked on a number of spacecraft projects for over 30 years at the space factory in Stevenage, variously called Hawker Siddeley, British Aerospace, Matra Marconi Space, Astrium and now Airbus Defence & Space
