We will start with a talk about the building (architect: William Butterfield) and the history of the immediate area including the almshouses, school and orphanage founded by people associated with the church. We will then look round, seeing the “back-to-front” windows, and hopefully visit the almshouses’ private garden opposite the church.
All ticket money will be given to the church.
Parking is on-street or in the Nightingale Road free car park next to the petrol station.
This non-religious group visits places of worship to learn about their architecture, monuments and history, and about the people who have been associated with them.
