Clappers Walk

Wednesday, 21 March 2018 - 10:00am

MIDWEEK AMBLERS/RAMBLERS
Wednesday 21 March Sharpenhoe Clappers
The Sharpenhoe Clappers ticks a lot of boxes: National Trust, Ancient woodland, Site of Special Scientific Interest, Iron Age promontory fort, Medieval earthworks, and in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Our walk will be around 4 miles. Generally the walk is on fairly level paths with occasional moderate inclines, some of which can also be muddy and slippery, therefore boots are recommended.
There are excellent views across to Hitchin and north over Bedfordshire.
Meet to order lunch etc, at The Chequers Pub, Streatley, LU3 3PS at 10.00 for a 10.30am start.
To book for the walk and lunch contact Ken Hill, on 01462 684463 or ken.lalg@gmx.com (email preferred), no later than Friday 16 March.
Future walk date: Wednesday 25 April
