St Mary the Virgin, Letchworth

Dating back to the 12th Century, this was the parish church of Letchworth Village and is the oldest building in Letchworth. It is on the site of a Saxon structure and has some interesting burials including an effigy of the crusader Sir Richard de Mountfichet.

Meet in the church (off Letchworth Lane) for a talk and tour starting at 10.30am and learn about the building and the people associated with it over the centuries.
